Six Tips On Maximizing Your Membership

By September 8, 2025October 6th, 2025No Comments3 min read

We’ve had a lot of growth over the past few years and we just want to say WELCOME! We appreciate every single member who wants to collaborate and help be a force of good in our community. Here are a few things you can do to maximize your membership and make the most of your experience!

1. Be A Member In Good Standing

In order for the donor-recipient to receive our funds, please ensure that you promptly send in your donation within a week of the announcement. There are four ways to do this:

  • send an e-transfer of $400 for the entire year
  • send an e-transfer of $100 on the day of our meeting
  • donate with your credit card directly to the charity with their online tools and send the committee your receipt number
  • bring your donation cheque/cash to the meeting

2. Attend Regularly

The magic in being in a room of women united to help our community is something special. Collective giving is powerful and can make such an impact. Try to mark your calendars to join us 1 hour/4 times a year and learn about non-profits and charities that you didn’t even know existed and how they are helping those who need support in our city and surrounding area.

3. Use Your Proxy If You Can’t Attend

We get it. You’re busy. Stuff comes up. Vacations are needed. But you can still use your voice to vote where you want your donation to go by using your proxy ahead of the meeting. Proxy forms can be found on our website and can be emailed to 100wwcr@gmail.com by noon of the the meeting date.

4. Nominate A Deserving Charity

One way to help the community is to nominate a charity. This influx of donations could be a significant game-changer and catapult a non-profit to a level where they could impact so many. It’s a quick form that can be downloaded or filled out directly from our site. Members in good standing can nominate. Review the criteria to ensure the charity meets the rules to be considered before hitting submit.

5. Do Some Homework Ahead of Time

This donation amount is nothing to sneeze at. Get to know who the nominees are ahead of the meeting by reviewing their website, social media, and come to the meeting with questions. Links will be on our website, shared on our socials, and sent via email when they are announced.

6. Spread The Word

Let friends, family, and colleagues know who we are and what we’re doing! If you think someone would be a good fit, tell them to come as a guest to see what we’re all about. Also, it’s always great to share the news of what you learned at the meeting. Awareness is a huge component of our membership. Spreading the word about a non-profit is worth its weight in gold.

Check out the site for proxys, nomination forms, and membership forms.
